HDR compatibility for enhanced contrast
Although the Panasonic TX-24FS500B isn’t a 4K UHD TV it is compatible with HDR signals. HDR (High Dynamic Range) preserves the detail in the brightest and darkest scenes, giving greatly enhanced realism.
Adaptive Backlit Dimming
Getting the most from HDR, Adaptive Backlit Dimming maximises the contrast ratio. This gives that extra layer of realism to images, presenting the picture closer to how the producer intended.
600 Hz BMR for a smoother response
With its 600 Hz BMR (Backlight Motion Rate) panel, this 24 inch Panasonic TV offers super-smooth motion. This means that when watching action movies or sport, the TX24FS500B has the speed and clarity to keep up with the action without motion blur.
Freeview Play for easy access to catch-up TV
This Panasonic also features Freeview Play. This combines catch-up TV, on-demand services and live television to make it easy to watch what you want, when you want. It’s free from subscription and compatible with existing broadband services, while BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, All 4 and Demand 5 are available without having to open specific apps, giving effortless scroll-back TV (requires broadband Internet connection with a minimum speed of 2Mbps).
My Home Screen 3.0 for smart connectivity
Panasonic’s latest version of their smart operating system gives you access to a wide range of top quality apps. For catch-up TV fans, both Netflix and the BBC iPlayer are on board, plus a host of other apps. Smart connectivity also brings together a host of features that make this much more than ‘just’ a TV, letting you stream video, photos and music from another source, such as your PC, via DLNA.
Twin USBs and USB record
The Panasonic FS500B range also comes with twin USB sockets. Matching the twin HDMI sockets, these are handy for plugging in media devices, such as a memory stick for music playback. USB recording is also standard, meaning you can connect a suitable HDD (Hard Disk Drive) device and record live TV.
Swipe and Share
The TX24FS500B comes with Swipe and Share, which via the Panasonic Remote TV app on your smartphone, enables you to stream pictures, videos and music to the TV, wirelessly.
