A non-return flap is supplied with every appliance and prevents the backflow of cold and/or warm outside air with extraction mode cooker hoods. This component is installed in the exhaust socket above the motor in your cooker hood and prevents air from flowing back through the extraction ducting when the appliance is not in use.
