We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and customer-focused Part-Time Sales Executive to join our team at Gerald Giles in Norwich.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service and wants to be part of a knowledgeable, supportive team.

The Role

As a Sales Executive, you’ll help customers find the right products for their homes, from everyday household appliances to premium brands, televisions and audio equipment.

You’ll take the time to understand each customer’s needs, offer knowledgeable advice and make sure they feel confident in their purchase. You’ll also play an important part in maintaining our showroom and ensuring every customer receives the high standard of service Gerald Giles is known for.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming customers and providing friendly, helpful and professional service.
• Understanding customer needs and recommending suitable products.
• Building product knowledge across our range of electrical appliances, televisions and audio equipment.
• Demonstrating products and explaining their features and benefits.
• Working towards individual and team sales targets.
• Processing sales accurately and discussing relevant delivery, installation and after-sales services.
• Keeping the showroom tidy, attractive and well presented.
• Supporting the wider team with day-to-day showroom activities.

About You

We’re looking for someone who enjoys helping people and takes pride in doing a job well.

You’ll ideally have:

• A friendly, approachable manner and good communication skills.
• A genuine interest in customer service and helping people make informed decisions.
• A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Confidence in talking to customers and recommending products.
• The ability to work as part of a team while taking responsibility for your own sales.
• Good attention to detail and a reliable, professional approach.

Previous retail or sales experience would be an advantage, but it isn’t essential. We’re just as interested in your attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Hours & Salary

• Hours: Approximately 16 hours per week, with flexibility to be agreed with the successful candidate.
• Working pattern: Saturday availability is essential, as Saturday is a key trading day for our showroom. The remaining hours will be agreed with the successful candidate.
• Salary: Competitive, depending on experience.
• Location: Gerald Giles, Norwich, Norfolk.
