Samsung things and Smart things for 2016

Samsung

In February this year, we visited the Samsung conference in Monaco. It was a really exciting project launch showcasing all the new technology, beautiful designs and innovations a plenty. Now that we’re adding the Samsung 2016 products to our website, we thought we’d give you a quick rundown of the technology to watch out for and top models from their 2016 range.

The main theme of the conference was hailing in a new era of smart connected devices which will be found in all rooms of the home. ‘Smart Things’ as they will be known, is a new system of totally open platforms meaning that different devices from various manufacturers can all work together, allowing you to monitor and control different aspects of your home in a way never experienced before. Over 200 companies are working together on this project and currently there are over 600 devices available which are smart things in enabled.

Moving on to LED TVs, Samsung are introducing new SUHD TVs with Quantum Dot Colour. The new models with Quantum Dot Colour technology built-in will deliver a world of lifelike Ultra HD picture quality and colour not experienced in your home before. With over one billion colours, it’ll give the onscreen picture an even more lifelike quality and true to life sensational colours in a colour space 54% wider than a conventional UHD TV.

The standout and flagship TV of the show for us had to be the KS9000 curved SUHD model available in 65″, 55″ and 49″ screen sizes. With its sleek bezel-less modern and contemporary design it will be ‘the’ TV to own in 2016. Packed to the rafters with Samsung’s incredible technology, it’ll constantly monitor what’s on screen to produce the best possible picture quality with SUHD Remastering Engine. Part of the UHD Premium range of TVs, the KS9000 has HDR 1000 and Precision Black working behind the scenes to produce darker blacks and shadows while not losing detail, and brighter lights for a greater contrast. Auto Depth Enhancer gives you a more captivating experience and Supreme Motions keeps everything moving along with even fast moving scenes in ultimate clarity onscreen. Along with the rest of the Samsung range, this TV will be ‘Smart Things’ enabled, allowing you to control and monitor the connected devices in your home via your TV remote control. There is so much more to this TV than this, but we thought that we’d leave some of the excitement of this model for you to find out. So why not contact Gerald Giles to find out more about Samsung’s brand new 2016 range today.
